It's that time of the year. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I can't believe it's already Xmas weekend! where did the year go?

Theres a brand new year in the vicinity, forcing out all the un-controllable hope in you.

I can have it all, but instead I want to give it all.. yeah that's how it is now. I am all grown up, and in the spirit of giving. How bizarre?

I am not particularly unhappy. We bought a tree and it's real, yet to be trimmed or decorated.. but it smells beautiful. I have bags full of gifts I have to wrap, turkey to be marinated, cooked.. house to be cleaned, but it doesn't feel like a chore.

I love Christmas.

I am listening to violent femmes and he's sleeping in our bed; life is good tonight. Sometimes, this feels and does not feel like it's meant to be. If i listen very carefully, i can hear him breathe but i can't imagine why it sounds so far away. This rooms always too warm or too cold. It has no balance, like most other things in my life.

It takes a lot of practice to be happy, and a lot more to be content. I don't think i can take another night or another year without taking some control.

In other irrelevant news, life's slowed down considerably because it's cold out and i am liking this pace for a change.
